| Type | Wall |
| Dating | medieval |
| Description | Short length of wall running into the southern edge of main cutting. This met the southern end of wall 95 but had a different alignment. |
| Comment | This wall/revetment is of poor workmanship and the face was never straight, nor plane. A variety of sandstone was used, most of it of poor quality: a very soft grey; some better, layered grey; some of the good purple-grey seen in 301; and some rotted darker highly micaceous sandstones. They seem to be fieldstones for the most part and it seems unlikely that anyone would bring such stones more than 5 miles maximum. Without the certainty expressed about 301, it is possible to speculate that wall 45 carried on into the bank ½m beyond the area-of-excavation and stopped there. Enok Sweetland |

| Type | Layer |
| Dating | |
| Description | Spread of flattish angular and semi-angular small pieces of sandstone with red discoloration. Extended for approximately 2.0m along southern part of western edge of main cutting. |
| Comment | Red colour probably due to heat, suggesting that this may have been a hearth. |
