Description A segment of structure 158 with 81 to the north and 166 to the south. It was composed of small to medium sized angular pieces of sandstone and pieces of tile. It overlay layer 175.

Description A layer of rubble, charcoal and slag mixed in with mid grey-brown silty clay, very thin to 100mm deep. Located between circular stone structure 38 and wall 103 it extended from south edge of main cutting to 401.70 north. This was cut by pit 178. There were occasional animal bone and pot and also patches of mottled pale yellowy brown silty clay.

Description This was a circular post-hole 60mm in diameter at top and 230mm deep. It tapered to a blunt point. It was wider and deeper than the other post-holes in the immediate area. There were two small post- or stake-holes associated with this post-hole - one on each side (see plan).
Comment Wider and deeper than the other post-holes, possibly part of a building rather than a fence as the others appear to be.

Description Fill of post-hole 179 with decayed wood mixed with clay. This was a circular post-hole 60mm in diameter at top and 230mm deep.
