Description Fence in ditch 48. A wattle fence woven in situ around posts. Consisted of, from east to west, posts 250, 249, 248, 247, 246, 245, 244, 243 and 226 spaced at approximately 35cm intervals (and possibly also post 253). 243 to 250 supported a very tightly woven wattle which survived to up to 0.5m tall. This was composed of branches measuring between 10mm DIAMETER.
