Commercial Road, Hereford

Commercial Road was the main road into Hereford when the town was part of the Kingdom of Mercia. Heading north-east, it ran in the direction of the old Mercian royal and ecclesiastical centres of Tamworth and Lichfield.

Projects along Commercial Road include Stonebow House, the King's Fee, the Hop Pole, the Litten Tree all on the south-east side, and Catherine Street on the north-west.

Looking north-east along Commercial Road from the position of the old city Bye Gate.
